Bookkeeping & month-end close · controller-led

Books you can make decisions on, closed by the seventh business day.

BridgeBooks runs the day-to-day finance work for growing businesses and works quietly behind accounting firms as white-label capacity. Every reconciliation is reviewed by an ICAI-qualified finance controller, every close follows a written checklist, and you always know what is done and what is open.

Who we work with

Two kinds of clients. Same standard of work.

Growing businesses

Founders, owners and COOs with 5 to 50 staff

You are about to hire a bookkeeper or staff accountant, or the one you have is stretched. You want numbers you trust every month without managing a finance team.

  • Ongoing bookkeeping and a dependable month-end close
  • Clean books handed to your CPA or tax agent at year-end
  • A clear monthly pack you can act on
Compare with an in-house hire
Accounting firms

New Zealand and Australian Xero practices, and US CPA firms

Your clients are growing faster than you can hire. We do the production work under your name so your team can review, advise and file, especially ahead of year-end and tax season.

  • White-label bookkeeping and reconciliations in your software
  • Tax-ready workpapers for your review and filing
  • Start with one client file, no long-term commitment

For New Zealand businesses

Xero books closed every month, not just at 31 March.

For owners of New Zealand businesses with 5 to 50 staff, especially in trades, professional services and e-commerce, who want clean books without hiring a bookkeeper. We work alongside your existing accountant, who keeps filing your GST and tax.

What you get

A dependable monthly close in your own Xero file

  • Bank and card feeds coded and reconciled, with Hubdoc or Dext for bills and receipts
  • GST workpapers ready for your accountant to review and file
  • Payroll accounting: wages, PAYE and KiwiSaver liabilities cleared after each pay run
  • A monthly pack with your cash position and what changed
  • A clean file for your accountant well before your 31 March year-end
How it works

Your afternoon is our morning

  • Calls in your afternoon, which is our morning in India
  • Start with a 5-minute self-check, then a free 24-hour audit under NDA
  • Privacy Act 2020 clauses in our engagement letter
  • One fixed monthly fee, with 30 days' notice to stop

In Australia? The same Xero workflow applies, for bookkeeping and reconciliations only. BAS, payroll and tax stay with your registered BAS or tax agent.

Before you post the job ad

A hire gives you one person. BridgeBooks gives you a finance function.

An in-house bookkeeper can be excellent. The risk is that everything depends on them alone: their review, their holidays, their notice period. Here is how the two compare.

Your name on the work. Our capacity behind it.

Good junior bookkeepers are hard to hire, and they are hardest to find just before year-end and tax season. We take on the production work so your team can spend its hours on review, advice and filing, which is where your margin is.

Questions

What people ask before they start

Who actually does the work on my books?

BridgeBooks is founder-led. Krishna Sikchi, ICAI-qualified and a working finance controller, reviews every file and every close. As the practice grows, any team member works to the same written procedures for your file, and the review step does not change.

How is my data protected?

We sign an NDA before any access, and a data processing agreement where your jurisdiction requires one. Access is granted through your software's own user invites with multi-factor authentication, starts read-only, and is removed the day an engagement ends. Your data stays in your systems.

How is pricing set?

A fixed monthly fee based on your transaction volume, number of accounts and entities, and the reporting you need. We quote after the Book Health Audit, when we can see the actual work. We don't bill by the hour, so you won't get surprise invoices.

Do you file tax returns?

No. We prepare clean books and workpapers so your CPA, chartered accountant or registered tax agent can review and file quickly. In Australia we provide bookkeeping only.

Will my clients know you exist? (for firms)

Only if you want them to. White-label work goes out under your firm's name and we never contact your clients directly.

Is there a minimum term?

No long-term lock-in. Monthly engagements run on 30 days' notice, and firms can start with a single client file as a pilot.

What if our books are a mess?

That is common and fixable. The audit tells you how far behind things are, and we quote a fixed-scope cleanup with a deadline before monthly work starts.
